Actually, I believe Markus mentioned that arguing is not in the new version. So, no, it won't help.

I never saw it work. I felt it to be mostly a cosmetic thing. But it was cool to then have to watch the rest of the game unfold with no input. No Bobby Valentine option to go out there in cognito.

I hope this does affect the game. I wish it were still an option but when you choose it, it fires up your team, or something happens.
