Press the baseball button on the top menu bar and it will let you autosim until a certain date. Then when you get to a date you want to do something use the rest of the menu. I recommend just trying to acclimate yourself to the GUI before really trying to get into a league.

I had the same problem. I clicked on the schedule on the menu the schedule of games was displayed and there is no way I can figure out how to play a game. I just downloaded it last night so maybe I'm missing something.

I believe you need to sim until the date of the game you have to play. Have you done that?

Its a bit confusing when the game starts. You need to sim until the first day of the official season if that's the game you want to actually play. Then the menu will give the option to play it.

Not to overlook the obvious:

Have you selected yourself as the GM of a team? If not, you'll not be able to manage that team.

Unless you are in comissioner mode.
