Historical replay questions...

Sorry if these questions have been answered here, but I can't seem to find out specifically what I want to know. So here goes...

I would like to play a historical replay, starting in the 70's or so, and manage my team up to and through present day. With the Lahman database, is this possible? How do I go about starting up in a certain year?

Also, will the historical records import (i.e. will Maris' 61 HR be the record if I start in, say 1975?)

Do players' historical stats import as well (i.e. if I start towards the end of someone's career will their historical stats come with them? That is to say, can I import a player like Kirby Puckett a year before his forced retirement and have him already with 2000 hits?)

Again, sorry if this has been answered already - your help is much appreciated.

Chris,

What you're looking to do is import a historical league. This is covered in general in the Game Guide (more on that here).

There is more information in this sticky thread as well.

Hope this helps!

Yes to both questions. Currently there is no option to erase those stats/records, but many of us are hopeful that will be added as an option.
