Can I be fired?

I started a custom, fictional league, and am now the manager of one of the teams. It started with a news item saying that some random guy was fired and I was hired as GM in his place. The owner also sent me an email with his expectations for the season.

Can I be fired? My intent was to be the GM for this team in to the future. If I could be fired at some point, what would happen then? Would I just observe the league but not be able to do anything? Or would the league just end as far as I'm concerned?

And if I can be fired, is there a way to turn this option off in the middle of a league?

You can select commish mode from the manager home page to stop yourself from being fired. In commish mode you are in full control. I think if you get fired you can just look at the available jobs and apply for a new one.

i hope this helps.

If I select commish mode, will that have any other direct impact? I know that being commish opens up a lot of options, I just don't want to have an inadvertant impact on another part of the simulation.

Thanks for the help!
