How do I?

I saw the ad for OOTP Baseball on the Apple Web Site. I have played APBA baseball on Windows Boxes, but was always interested in a baseball stat game that would run on a Mac.

I downloaded the Demo, but I can't figure out how to play an actual baseball game... like I manage one team and the computer manages another... "we" play 9 innings, select lineups, pitch hit, change pitchers, etc.

I'm not a complete moron, and like I said, I've played APBA baseball for Windoze, but I cannot figure out how to play a game. I've skimmed the .pdf manual and still can't see how to play a game.

I would probably purchase the game if I can figure out the demo.

Thanks for any help.

You go under your league tab then go to Scores and Schedule then under your game press manage game.

Although you might not be able to do it in the demo, because I had a friend who downloaded the demo but was not able to manage a game either.

Duh!

Thanks so much for your help.

I just followed your instructions (Which were perfect) and I played a couple of games... substituted player, pitch hit. changed pitchers. The game was fun.

Can you play manual games other than pitch by pitch? In APBA, you just had to click once per batter. That speeded things up a bit.

It really says something about an online community when a newbie posts a question and it gets answered within seconds. I really appreciate the assistance.

Yes, bottom bar allows for "one pitch" mode.

Not only that...

Not only can you just play the one game pretty darn fast but you can sim a full season in about the same time it takes to do it in Baseball Mogul, but with TONS more detail and realism.

This is one of the best online communities I have been apart of, and welcome to the group.
