Widely differing opinions from two similiarly able scouts

I'm sitting at the ammy draft, trying to decide which scout to believe.

My head scout (100 Pitcher Pot ability) recommends a 19 y/o SP that he rates as a 52 in potential - a solid, major league quality number. Having made my park into an ultimate pitcher's park - my "gut" rating about be about 62-65 for actual performance.

The thing is - another scout (96 Pitcher Pot ability) scouts this same young man at 29! Even with a pitcher's park - this guy would be barely below average - and even worse on the road.

I looked at another pitcher - one that my eyes caught (40/75/70 range in pots) and looked to see what my scouts thought of this 21 year old. Another wide difference. My head scout say 54 while another scout says 27!

Whew - looks like there's a fight going on in my draft war room. No idea who I'm going to pick - but who says pitching isn't hard to scout At least, these two scouts can't see eye to eye - and both are awesome at seeing potential.

What do you do if you see something like this? I will probably go with the younger, hoping that younger = better for his development. That and the 21 year old looks awfully raw for his age.

I would examine the scouts bias and see what scout better fits my perferred tactics and go with his opinion.

Scouts?

I have just downloaded the latest patch and found that all of my scouts have disappeared.

Have they removed this aspect? (If so how do we now scout?) or have they moved the option and put the staff somewhere else and I'm being blind?

Have you looked to see whether the option called "Use Complete Scouting System" is checked on your Game Options (Game, Game Setup, Global Setup)? If that's not checked, scouts are turned off, they disappear from team personnel pages, and all the player ratings and potentials that you see are the “true” values. Scouts come back as soon as you click the scouting option box again, however. I hope for your sake that's it.
