Changing the Year

I have started a league (and, alas, we only have 6 owners) but we would like to make the year read "0001" for the first season instead of "2006".

How can I do this?

can't once you started the game. You would have to set the year when creating the game during setup

So now my question will morph into areas I have never explored. Can I export the league, start anew with the new year, import the teams and pick up as if nothing happened?

I have not experimented at all with the export/import beyond importing from Lehman.

That does not sound like what you want to do. Export/import refers to team rosters, not the league. If you are successful, you will end up with the same players, perhaps with their career stats intact, but all of your league history up to that point will be wiped out. Some people have had success doing other editing by copying .dat files back and forth in the saved game file, but date is so basic to records and statistics in the game that I doubt that would work. That's probably why it can be set only once, when starting a new game.

I don't think you can set the year to less than 1800 anyway, even with a new game.

Good luck getting this one moved to OT.
