Right click the person you like, select offer contract.

Another screen should pop up with a set of pull-down menus. One selects the level in your organization you want to hire him for, the other selects what job you want to offer him.

He'll then decide if he wants the job or not. If he does, he'll tell you what he wants (you can't negotiate like you can with players). If he doesn't, he'll tell you "I'm not interested in working for <your team here>." and there's nothing you can do at that point - you'll have to hire someone else (or offer a different job/level in your system).

Oh, and positions have to be blank. You can't have a Major League pitching coach and then try hiring another pitching coach at the major league level. You have to fire your current coach BEFORE trying to offer jobs. That makes it some risk, especially at the lower levels.

If you select someone on the Staff Search page who is already employed, you will not get the Offer Contract option when you right-click that person. You have to find someone who is unemployed, as shown by dashes for TM, LG, and Lev.

Next, if you do find an unemployed person, right-click and offer him a job, but have no job opening, it will say "No Jobs Available" for Select Job in the Offer Contract window. As KBLover said, you've got to make a position by firing someone first (Personnel page, right-click an employee, and Fire Person).

Hopefully one of these is what you meant by your question.

I tell ya what I usually do is only use 4 scouts...leaving #5 scout open that way you can hire a guy or move a guy you have in your system then place both him were you like....be it a Hitting, Pitching or Bench Coach they usually sign as a scout.
Knida cheap but...it works.

ok

Can you hire doctor's in minor league or not? Because i've tried and there's no drop down menu for his job. Can you hire managers, scouts or another doctor in major league?

Well, I'm currently managing on the rookie level (by choice, to learn the game, and not necessarily because I stink), and I can tell you that my team personnel consist of me (manager), hitting coach, pitching coach, and one scout. No doctor, but an imaginary first aid kit.

P.S., I just checked - it's the same on all levels of the minor leagues. Only on the major league level (including international leagues) do you get a bench coach, a team doctor, and 5 additional scouts.

Ok thanks. So, you can't hire doctor's in the minor league even if your the manager? Not general manager.

When you are managing in the minors, you can't hire or fire anybody. You get assigned your two coaches and scout. You have to be the GM to do any hiring. In any event, the GM cannot hire any more than these folks in the minor leagues unless I'm missing something. Programmer's rules!
