Commissioner mode question???????

Hi,

I created my custom online league using the Roster set and deleting the extra teams. Inaugural draft is over. We are now just before Spring training. I would like to know how I am supposed to be able to trade players or sign free agents? When I go in the player trade menu, it says I am either not commissioner or my league does not allow trading. But I dont understand since I added a manager and set it for commissioner. I also tried to sign free agents by right clicking on them and I don't see a "sign player" option. What setting do I have to change? I find this game really complicated compared to the previous ones.

Thanks for your help.

In order to sign free agents and make trades, you have to be hired by a team. If you want to take advantage of being commissioner and just move players around instead, you can edit them onto new teams from the player card screen.

Ok so you're telling me we can't do it like OOTP4-5-6, just sign the player for a salary if I run an online league. I need to edit the player in the team? I can't believe that... Player can't refuse the offers from different managers?

This isn't something have actually messed with, but wouldn't he want to use the "Act as" dropdown for these purposes?

Yep, that's the way it's done in OOTP 2006.

Where is that "act as" dropdown you are talking about?
