can you retrain players?

Like in WSM, I would love to retrain a prospect to play LF in addition to CF & RF.

yes, you can. just place them at the position you want them to learn and they will learn it over time, if they have the skills to play it.

They will learn faster in Spring Training. I accidently dropped a pinch hitter into the pitcher slot, and he got 3 experience as a pitcher, even though I pulled him without throwing a pitch. That aside, I've noticed that the infielders and outfielders I'm cross-training this spring are gaining about 2 points in positional ability per outing, even when they don't play a full game (again, in Spring Training).
