Odd thing with a contract

I've had an odd thing pop up in my Federal League universe. I have a catcher on my ML club who has a minor league contract. I didn't think that was possible. I was able to reassign him to AAA, but I can't remove him from the secondary roster without putting him through waivers.

I have two or three other players with minor league contracts on my secondary roster, who were put there by the AI when my team was set up. They aren't five-year-draft eligible, so they aren't being protected from anything, but to clear their spots on the secondary, I'll need to put the lot of them through waivers, which I'm loath to do. I suppose I'll have to bite the bullet; I've noticed that the AI almost never claims anyone.

But really all I want to do is play.

So I'll try harder to be patient and hopefully the board will be patient with me.
And yes, I am still continuing my campaign to promote adding a 'mass select' option to Out of the Park 10.

Are you in Spring Training or pre-season? The AI is capable of a lot of questionable activities with regard to contracts and level movements before the season begins, IMHO.
