realistic hitting/pitching stats

Im playing with the Demo and the MLB 2.0 quickstart and almost every pitcher in my (ATL) organization is dominating while most of my hitters are below the mendoza line. How can I fix this

Hitters in Rookie, Short Season A and sometimes Single A will be below the Mendoza line. That's because hitters' effectiveness is modified by the Major League Equivalencies, while the pitchers are not. That was a design decision. You should expect AA batters to hit around .220, AAA around .240 and major leaguers around .260. If the results you're getting are lower than that, you'll need someone else's advice.

There are three ways I know of to affect this:
You can change the Ball Park Effects to greatly increase the batting averages, doubles, triple and homers. This requires a LOT of data inputting, changing all of the numbers for every park. It's also hit-or-miss, since it's hard to guess just how high to set each league or level
You can adjust the Player creation modifiers for pitchers to make them less effective. How far down to set them is again hit-or-miss, but you can do it in one minute during the game setup phase before you hit 'start'. I'm told that this only affects the pitchers the game creates at start, so over time the problem will creep back in.
You can set the Major League Equivalences to 1.000 for every league. This will take about a minute per league, but will be a permanent effect, and no guesswork is involved. The downside to this is that you will have roughly six or eight times as many major-league-ready players to play with. It'll be like playing in an all-star league.

Basically, this is just something you'll have to get used to — assuming that I'm right about what the problem is. If I'm wrong, just wait around and someone else will be along to give you better advice.
