Starting Pitching

Why, when I simulate games, is my starting pitcher ALWAYS replaced after pitching 4.0 innings. No matter what I do to the strategy settings either on the player level or league level this is happening consistently. Does anyone else have a problem with this? I would love to see my SPs go at least 6 innings when they are pitching a 1 or 2 hit game. Thats why I'm signing them right? Does anyone else have this issue? I would "manage" every game but it just takes a little too long. I'm new to the game and considering purchasing it but I'm not going to if my strategy settings do not actually affect the game when I simulate.

Is it all your starting pitchers? If only one, what is that pitchers endurance level?

Pitching problems

If you are pitching during spring training then the PItchers will be on a pitching limit no matter what you do. Once you start the season your pitchers will pitch based upon their endurance rating. Good luck.

What are your settings? Most rested starter first?

This is exactly the case. However, if you "play" out the games in ST, the AI will be obligated to abide by this limitation, but you are not.

When I first played ootp 2006 I freaked out about that too. There, I admitted it and now I feel a lot better
