Trouble starting OOTP8 on OS X

Please help! I'm new to OOTP and really want to try this game before I think about buying the new version.

I download the game, then create MLB game, then I click OK to start the game and the game just crashes...

Does this happen to anyone else?

Same happens to me on my Mac. Something to do with Shared Libraries:
