Totally Exhausted Pitcher

I'm going into the playoffs of the 2nd season of my 1st game.

In my first season, I noticed that in game 1 of the playoffs, my starting pitcher was totally exhausted after 1 ordinary inning. I was wondering why the AI would start a guy who would be tired after one inning, but since it was my first season I figured out I did something wrong.

Now I'm in the 2nd season of my league, and in the 2nd game of the playoffs my #1 starter got the nod. Now after 1 21 pitch inning, he is completely exhausted again.

He threw 97 pitches 5 days ago, so he's on 4 days rest this time. He has 17 stamina. Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe also noteworthy, the opposing pitcher is also totally exhausted after 1 inning, but he came back out in the 2nd.

Are you playing pitch by pitch? If not, there could have been a rain delay in there that you didn't see (like if you're playing half inning at a time).

Though I'm not certain about this, I also think if you're pitcher gets ejected, he could show as being exhausted. Though he wouldn't still be in for the next inning.

I recall seeing it posted in several other threads that the player profile page will show exhausted as soon as a pitcher throws at least 1 pitch. Now, if you're seeing that on the in-game screen, there may be something else at work.

I'm noticing it on the in game screen. I'm doing one pitch mode. Looking at my current game, this particular pitcher has thrown 29 pitches, and is totally exhausted. He has 70 stam (on 20-80, i just tried messing with that setting since the 1st post) and hasn't pitched in the last 5 days.

I'm starting to assume that the Rest Status field doesn't mean anything for the current game..

Just to clarify, when you see the pitcher's info on the in-game play-by-play screen, it's saying he's totally exhausted?

Or are you opening his profile from within the in-game screen and seeing it there?

When I'm on the in game screen and I click on my pitchers name, it bring up a window where it shows pitches thrown in the last 5 days. On this screen, it shows as totally exhausted.

Bingo! That's the cosmetic issue described above. The ONLY valid pitcher fatigue indicator is what is shown under your pitcher's name on the in-game screen. If it says he is OK, then he is fine.

However, if you open one of his profiles by clicking on his name, which is what you're doing, you're actually seeing what his status will be AFTER the game is completed. It's an unfortunate cosmetic issue that causes confusion for numerous people, but there is no need to worry.

Hopefully. If he is and you see it happen more than once, then maybe this is actually a bug. But I think it's just a coincidence based on past reports I've seen on the general forum.
