3 teams open we are currently in the playoffs, we just did a league roll call for 2007.
1 - Cleveland Indians - http://www.djraymyers.com/snb/team7.html they finished 2nd in the division and won the wild card race. The team is stacked with offense with the likes of Grady Sizemore, Carlos Beltran, J.D. Drew, Victor Martinez, Jhonny Peralta and Ben Broussard. The rotation isn't bad either led by A.J. Burnett. Not to mention the farm system has some decent talent with Jeremy Sowers, and Joel Guzman. This team is ready to contend now and for years to come with that young group. 2 - Kansas City Royals - http://www.djraymyers.com/snb/team9.html a team that has a young and promising core. Leading this young team is Matt Holliday where he broke out this season to put some great numbers. He's surrounded by Dallas McPherson, Jim Thome, and Juan Rivera. Anchoring this young rotation is Zach Greinke, Chris Goodman and Denny Bautista. The team has the 6th best farm system, with the likes Alex Gordon, Billy Butler, Shane Costa, and Hayden Penn. The team has a lot of promise for the future. 3 - Oakland A's - http://www.djraymyers.com/snb/team12.html they are a team built to contend. They finished 2nd in the division behind the Angels, the team has a solid core of players in their prime and a great pitching staff. The offense is led by Miguel Tejada, Eric Chavez, Adam Dunn, and Milton Bradley. Also with a couple of young stars that are waiting in the wings like Nick Swisher, and Bobby Crosby. The staff is anchored by Rich Harden, with a supporting cast of Dan Haren, Joe Blanton and Doug Davis. The bullpen is one of the best with Street, Linebrink, Turnbrow and Justin Duscherer. This is a fun and great league, we have a great core of GMs and are very active. Please contact me at kimwesley@yahoo.com or the commish at hollywood_40_2000@yahoo.com. We have a 4th team open. Our St. Louis manager has decided to resign.
St. Louis - http://www.djraymyers.com/snb/team25.html this is a team that is contender with an offense led by Albert Pujols, Scott Rolen, and Jim Edmonds. The team's biggest strength is it's rotation and bullpen. With Chris Carpenter anchoring the staff along with Mark Mulder and a young stud prospect named Anthony Reyes. The minor league system has sold prospects both on the hitting and pitching side.
