Are you a statistics buff, who simply can't get enough of following prospects as they grow and blossom into next years all-stars? Are you new to the game and are looking for someone to teach you how to become a mastermind General Manager? Are you a veteran OOTP manager who honestly doesn't have the time right now to manage a team full time? Are you looking for something more out of a league than just doing lineups? Are you sick and tired of joining a league that is doomed to fail after 2 or 3 seasons? OR, are you simply an OOTP fanatic eagerly waiting to land a job as a General Manager in a league that is well run, well-organized, and more fun than anything out there? If you answered yes to any of these questions, I have a proposition for you.

Around August 1, 2006 one of the most anticipated leagues will set its metaphorical sails. We're talkin` a hard core, in your face, sim league experience, and I'd like you to join us. Currently ALL of the GM spots are taken, but as everyone knows that will not last forever. I'm offering anyone interested a job as the official scouting director/assistant for my Boston Red Sox.

Now before you shake your head and think-- "Wow, this guy is crazy.. what will I ever get out of this? Is he being serious?" You don't know how interactive this league is going to become. Everyone in the league has passed a personality test and is able to devote the necessary amount of time to be an active member in this league. Of course some members will be more active than others, but everyone in this league LOVES their baseball, and more importanly; they love their competition.

Your job will include:

1. Being up-to-date with our minor league system ranging from AAA to short season A-ball. Nothing too elaborate, but it will definitely help getting feedback on prospects from others than just myself.
2. Scouting & tracking prospects on other teams which might become of interest to our Boston Red Sox.
3. Creating a friendly and trustworthy relationship with the other GM's of the league-- afterall, we will always be a classy organization.
4. You will assume FULL responsibility for the franchise if I am ever out of town, or if I am ever unavailable for a predetermined amount of time.

Of course, there will also be something in it for you:

• You will be the first person in-line when job vacancies come up inside the league and with a positive recommendation from myself, you will definitely land the job.
• If you're new to the game, this will be a great learning experience for you without destroying a franchise through bad trades, bad contracts, and bad judgment.
