Scrub League

Rules attached below (minus Free Agent compensation. I'll add that tomorrow).

Basic premise: Players do not exceed 5 (on a 1-10) scale at any point, except for rare occasions (talked about in the rules). Makes for a much more challenging league.

So far my test leagues are pitching dominated, but I have a couple ideas as to why that is and I'm fairly certain I'll get the numbers to where I want them. Read the rules and tell me what you think. There are some things included that make this more unique than your standard league, such as:

-Bonuses for doing well
-Free Agent Compensation
-Restricted Minor Leagues and Trades
-Other top secret information!

Let me know if there is interest. I'm hoping to get around 16-24 teams. If there is considerable interest, I will have the league application later in the week.

Well I thought it was interesting.

What is up with the online community? Even 6.5 leagues are struggling to get by. Are people just sick of OOTP as a whole and aren't joining any new leagues? I have noticed that it's just not an opportune time to join a league or start a new one because people are getting bored of OOTP really quick.

I like the idea.

I think part of the problem is that OOTP 2006 looms at the horizon. A lot of leagues think about converting to 2006 once it's patched up, while the complexity of the new version scare off a lot of casual gamers.

Could be. It's too bad it hasn't been implemented correctly for online leagues (though I hear that's changing).

Thanks for the feedback!
