SBSL- Several Openings

With our 2007 season (league's 3rd season) coming to an end, we've seemed to have several owners completely disappeared without warning, so we're looking to fill open teams before moving to 2008. The league is currently in late-September 2007. League website located at http://sbslbaseball.com

The available teams are:

Baltimore Orioles- Currently 59-91; A few stars to build around in Magglio, Tejada & Burnett along with several good young talents.

Toronto Blue Jays- 2006 AL East Champions; Currently 71-80; One of the top rotations in the league

Detroit Tigers- 82-68, 2nd in AL Central, 2nd in Wildcard standings; Several solid players along with a bevy of talented prospects

Kansas City Royals- 78-72; Some decent players to build around and a few good prospects.

Chicago White Sox- 41-110; A few solid pieces to build around, but a long way to go to the top

New York Mets- 2006 & 2007 NL East Champs; 86-65; Close to a championship with a new GM & maybe a move or two.

Philadelphia Phillies- 66-84; Many solid younger pieces to build around; A team that hasn't achieved, but with alot of potential.

Washington Nationals- 2005 NL Champions; 70-81; A few good players lingering from the 2005 season, but probably in need of an overhaul

Chicago Cubs- 77-73; Stuck in a very tough division; Many good players such as Garciaparra, Lee, Ramirez, Prior, Zambrano, Lidge, Hunter & Matsui.

Cincinnati Reds- 52-98; A very weak team, but have several prospects with potential

Pittsburgh Pirates- 67-84; A few good young players to build around

San Diego Padres- 46-104; A very good assortment of prospects to rely on in the future

Just a bump, this is a very good league, with a good core of GM's and dedicated commish.

This was Ozzie's league right?

Is he still in the league?

This was formerly ozzie's league. I took control of the league during the 2006 season (league's 2nd), we are now in the 2007 playoffs. Ozzie remained in the league through the 2006 season as a GM. He left his GM role early in the 2007 season. So he has not be in charge of the league since this past winter, and has not been involved in the league in any capcity for a couple of months, but this is the league that he ran at one point.
