Gauging "Serious" interest - No game needed

Looking to start a "historic" league using 2006 -

I have used the 1871 quickstart - I have simmed the first season up until the rookie draft (it is currently Dec 1871).

The quickstart has put some "fictional" players in the game prior to the 1871 draft, Though they are fictional they are also joined by Spaulding, Anson, Zetterlin etc.. And I figure that in a few years (game time) most of the fictional players will be released, retired or replaced by the "real players" as the draft fills the rosters........ It is the intent to have a "historic" league by players - Not by teams.... "The logos are placeholders... they may be replaced as managers choose.... (not relocated)....

Since 2006 is still new to most online leagues, I have not meesed with the ftp yet - But if the league gets going i will get it working correctly - The game will not be required but there will be a set of "guidlines" to follow

I have had numerous issues in the past with owners taking positions then dropping out from day 1 - I decided to not run online leagues again as it took time and people just kept bailing........

Though there has been both sides of the discussion on 2006 - I really like the information and presentation 2006 provides, So I decided I would give it one more try.....

There are 7 teams available (8th is spoken for if league goes forward) in 2 Leagues (AL, NL)... 4 AL - 4 NL... This will grow in 1901 to 8 and 8..

This league is NOT REPEAT NOT for the casual user... It is for someone who is interested in playing longer term - This is not a race to the finish but a smooth walk along history.... I will require no more than a regular line-up submission..

The only team not available is the St. Louis Cardinals....

If I can get some serious takers, I will complete the league setup (forum etc..) It should take a couple days from time I get league filled

FYI... started in 1871 because a lot of good things happened before the typical 1901 - Maybe Cy Young will not win 300 - Maybe Anson will choke...
