Fellowship of Respect and Trust looking for 2 Owners

Hello all-

I am the commissioner of FORT which is now entering it’s 20th season in existence as a Lahman-based historical league. We are one of the oldest active OOTP the leagues around looking for strong, solid ownership I have been running the league for 3 seasons, taking over after the original commish stepped down (he still is a GM of at team) after running the league since it’s inception in 1950. We are finishing the 1969 playoffs tonight, and will be switching the season over Thursday so this is the ideal time for a new owner. We have two openings currently:

Chicago Cubs - This team has 3 HUGE bats (Frank Robinson, Yaz, and Killibrew) not to mention Kaline and a few others, but they have next to no pitching. The NL Central is a fairly even division, but this team comes up short with arms and the lack of prospects make this team a rebuilder. Ideally I would prefer an owner who takes the team this way, but I would be willing to take on someone who thought they could turn this team into a winner.

Oakland A’s – This is a team in the middle of a rebuild, who are still a few seasons away. They have the best prospect in the league at this point, and have a bright future for a GM who can stay patient enough to continue building to a solid future.

More than anything, I want balanced, mature owners who come in with a longer term plan and recognize they can’t just trade away all their draft picks for a marginal team with a long shot at a wild card. I am looking for owners who don’t wait for trades to com to them all the time, but will go out and make offers themselves. I am looking to make as strong addition to this league as I can.
