FBBL - Two Teams Open in Season 3
Gents,
We have two open teams in the FBBL: http://fbbl20.ho8.com/index.html as we're about to begin the 2007 season. The two teams are both solid and have enjoyed success in their past two seasons. We are an OOTP 6.5 league with a sim schedule of Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. 7-days per sim. We have an extremely active message board and our turnover rate is extremely low. Heading into our third season we have 21 of 28 original GM's. Odds are if you give us a try you'll enjoy yourself. With that, let me introduce you to the two open teams. ----------------------------------------- TEAM: Minnesota Twins - http://fbbl20.ho8.com/main/team10.html 2-YR RECORD: 177-150, .541% PLAYOFFS: 1 appearance in 2005; lost in DS 3-2 KEY VETS: Ichiro, Milton Bradley, Eric Byrnes, Melvin Mora, Richard Hidalgo etc... FARM SYSTEM: Ranked 20th led by Adam Ricks 2B, 26th best spect in the league FINANCIALS: The Twins are in solid shape financially. They're nearly 6 million to the good with a 63 fan interest. STORY: The Twins are in a slight rebuild mode after losing a few key players to free agency but with great looking rookies like Adam Ricks, Brendan Ryan, Deacon Burns etc... they're headed in the right direction. The Twins are one of the winningest franchises in the FBBL. Only 6 teams have posted a better 2-year W/L record than the Twins. The previous and original owner had to abandon the team because of National Guard duty. They're a perfect team if you like to rebuild teams but don't want to step into a nightmare. The Twins are solid financially, have some solid young talent and some solid veteran leadership. ----------------------------------------- TEAM: New York Mets - http://fbbl20.ho8.com/main/team17.html 2-YR RECORD: 168-157, .517% PLAYOFFS: 1 appearance in 2005; lost in NLCS 4-3 KEY VETS: Aubrey Hudd, Austin Kearns, Jake Peavy, Joe Nathan, David Eckstein etc... FARM SYSTEM: Ranked 10th, led by the 3rd best prospect in the league David Penning. FINANCIALS: The one area where the Mets are in a little trouble. They're carrying a 2 million dollar debt at the moment but should easily be back in the green after this season. They have a fan interest of 48. STORY: The Mets have one of the best pitching staffs in the entire league. Anchored by Jake Peavy, the NYN staff posted a 3.65 team ERA in 2005 and a 3.57 ERA in 2006. The team needs some offense as Barry Bonds who helped lead them to the playoffs in 2005 fell off the grid in 2006. Luckily the team still has Austin Kearns and Aubrey Huff to build around offensively. The previous owner started college and doesn't have FTP access so he felt he could no longer do an adequate job with the team. ----------------------------------------- If interested please PM or e-mail me: avwjase@yahoo.com with your info. First off: Yes, the game is required to be in the league. Either OOTP 6.12 or OOTP 6.5. The reason I say that is that I have gotten a lot of people signing up to my league lately who I later find out don't own the game.
Anyway, we have an excellent young team available right now. The San Diego Padres. Here's their info: --------------------------------------------------------------------- TEAM: San Diego Padres - http://fbbl20.ho8.com/main/team27.html 2-YR RECORD: 161-163, .497% PLAYOFFS: None KEY MAJOR LEAGUERS: Zach Grienke, Dontrelle Willis, Joe Mauer, Chasey Utley, Jose Reyes and David Wright. FARM SYSTEM: 13th best system led by the 8th ranked prospect Jeremy Sowers. FINANCIALS: The Padres have a payroll of 46 million, a revenue of around 65 million and 39 million in cash on hand. They're in excellent financial shape. STORY: The Padres are in excellent shape all around the board. For some reason we haven't been able to keep a committed owner with them. They have the youth and talent to build around and they have the funds to add key veterans in free agency. I don't know what there is not to like. Because I'm tired of the revolving door in San Diego I require references for the next owner. I need to know what leagues you are in and how long your tenure is before I hand them off again. -----------------------------------------------------------------------

I love the Padres, but unfortunately I don't know how to export things without screwing them up (never been in an export league). One question though, how did you get the full extended history of those players? Did you have to put those things in yourself?
(Example: Jose Reyes being an undrafted FA signed by the Mets)
