Laseron Baseball Association has two openings.

The Laseron Baseball Assoiciation is fictional league setup in a fictional world. (See map of Laseron) It has two leagues of two divisions each with five teams, for a total of 20 teams. The two openings are in Whitesand and Mist. Both teams are in the Elos Division. Both are in a three way battle with Erindel for playoffs.

Both positions opened up because of time constraints on the past owners.

Mist (click here to see their roster) is a former expansion team that is now legitimate playoff contender. They are currently tied for first place. And they should be able to compete for the next several years. Ike Rust, Ruben Allen and Ernie Zeman form one of Laseron's best infields. They are three of their top four position players. And they are all in their late twenties. 30 year old John Dall is the ace of the staff. He has a chance at 20 wins this season. And their closer, Henry Spencer is only 24 years old. He has a bright future ahead.

Whitesand (click here to see their roster) won the league championship in 1914 and 1916. And they made it to the championship series in 1917, but lost. Currently they are 3.5 games behind Erindel and Mist with three weeks remaining in the season. Their strength is in their outfield. R. J. Hill is 27. He has won two Rick Blast Awards (Outstanding Batter). And he's the front runner to win this season. He's currently 1st in HRs and RBI. And 2nd in runs scored. Rom Lager is 33. He won the Rick Blast Award last season. And Johnny Espree, 31, is a four time all star. On the mound, they are led by two time King of the Mound (Outstanding Pitcher) Tom Feete.

- The league has been in existence since June, 2002.
- We are in 21st season.
- We are using v6.51.
- Our entire history is stored on Catobase.
- We sim one week on Mondays and Wednesdays. And we sim two weeks on Saturday.
- The top two teams in each division makes the playoffs.
- There is an $85 million salary cap and a $15 million team cash maximum.
- We hold a Rule V draft.

The league mimics the majors late sixties, early seventies. Dominant pitchers can have ERAs below 2.00. But there is a fair amount of offense. We've had one player go 50-50. We've had another player bat .400, while three other players have come close. Still, we regularly have players hit .300 with 20+ HRs and 110+ RBI and win our Rick Blast Award.

We have several active owners who help make the website look good and write articles. And you'd be encouraged to add whatever you can. But the only activity that is required is that you try to make the team a winner and you answer email involving trades. After that, the amount of participation is up to you. If interested please contact Eric Tozeck and Brian Barrett. You'll find the email addresses here.

I cannot say enough good things about this league. It has a great history and the lore surrounding it is top notch. It has two very good commissioners. It has an excellent owner base, most of whom have been there from the very beginning of the league.

I came into the league as one of the expansion teams in 1911 and I don't know what I'd do without my Sting Rays.

I've been in my share of OOTP leagues and the LBA is one of the finest around. IF you're looking for a good, fictional league, give us a look.

I'm with Tom on this one...this league is an amazing one. I actually had to leave the league at one point due to time constraints too, but a year later, I couldn't refuse a chance to join again. And the interesting thing is that has happened several times with other owners. I suppose that goes to say this league is a hard one to stay away from for too long!

Oh and just for the record, whoever chooses to take the Mist or Whitesand spot will be competing against me (Erindel) for the division title (and possibly the LBA championship?). So, these two openings are not for the weak of heart!

But seriously, you won't regret joining the LBA. We have two amazing, dedicated commissioners, a solid core of owners, and an amazing league concept and history. You'll have to look for a reason not to jump on board!

I had a question, and forgive me if its stated somewhere...I can be blind as a bat at times. What version of OOTP does the LBA use?

Laseron a great world-of-its-own concept. It's turned into an enduring league with a fine group of GMs. I'm rebuilding my second dreadful team in the LBA and having a great time.

This is an alternate universe you can help shape -- and enjoy some wonderful, competitive baseball at the same time. Check it out.

This is a great league for veteran or new OOTP players. I gave up my GM responsibilites awhile ago but I still check in periodically to track certain teams and players. It's that good.

Great League for anyone, especially new owners who have not done it before. This is where i started and it is great. A good bunch of people and it is competitive every year. I've been in it for 4 seasons now and my Summerwind team is like a personal domain that I really care about. Well worth it if you enjoy a good league
