ping: someone with HTML/css knowledge. I need help!
Ok, I'm a beginner in the trues sense of the word. But, I'm designing a website, and learning as I go.
I completely hand coded the website for the OOTP league: WWBF. It looks fine in IE 7, but in Firefox it doesn't look right. If you click the link, you'll know what i mean. If you can help me with this, please AIM (robbyruggles) or PM me, I want to know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!

The sections directly below the header: Quote of the week, Calendar are supposed to be 5 px below the header. The menu on the right should be flush with the bottom of the header.
on my machine, it looks fine in IE 7, but not in Firefox. In Firefox they are overlaping for some reason.

FireFox, Internet Explorer, and other web browsers have always had these kinds of issues displaying(rather reading html, php). When I used to create websites from scratch, my league members, using different browsers would complain about overlaps and links not working too. You just have to find a happy medium with the layout so it looks "acceptable" in different web browsers.

I'm having a bit of a hard time following the css you made, as I don't have IE. I can't really tell if the quote of the week is too high or if the link toolbar comes down lower than it should. You might want to try using tables instead of div sections with absolute positioning. Tables are a little easier to make sure things appear relative to each other where you want them since cells can't overlap.
http://www.w3schools.com has some really good explanations of HTML, XHTML, CSS, and various other web programming needs as well as the individual tags. I highly recommend it to anyone learning to do web programming.
