ATH Looking For a New Anaheim Angels GM

Around the Horn Baseball League was established in March of 2003. We started off with the Total Minors roster set (courtesy of GForce) in the 2003 season. We are currently are at the end of August of the 2016 season and have a little more than 1 month left in the regular season. We sim 3-times a week (MON-WED-FRI) 7 days each.

We're looking for a GM to take over the Angels franchise. Someone who wants the team and wants to be apart of the league. Your participation can be as little or as much as you'd like it to be and that your schedule will allow. All we ask is that you try to make Anaheim into a good team, a competitive team, but most importantly....YOUR team.

We try to make the league interactive for the GM's by voting on the all-star starters with the reserves being selected by the current AL and NL league champions. We also vote on who wins the end of season awards: Cy Young, MVP, Rookie of the Year, and GM of the Year. Here is some back ground on the Anaheim Angels.

Entering the 2016 season the Angels franchise had gone 1179-926 .560. They are 5th in franchise wins behind only the A's, Yankees, Cubs, and Braves. They've gone to the post-season 8 times, including the past 7 seasons in a row. In the Divisional Series they have won 7 of the 8 series they have appeared in. They've won two ATH titles, back-to-back in 2010 & 2011. The Angels truly have a solid history in the league.

Enough about their history....how are they now and what does the future hold? The defending AL West champs are currently in dead last in the West at 47-76 37 games behind Oakland. They're payroll is at 61.6 mill (13th in the league). Currently they have the 28th ranked Farm System. This once great team is in need of an overhaul. If you like rebuilding teams, especially former great teams who have fallen, and like turning them back into champions...then the Angels would be a good fit for you.
