Mets open in FBBL
Openings in the FBBL, while not rare like diamonds or gold, don't come up very often. We've retained most of our GM's from the start and don't have a very high turn over rate. Currently, we have one opening for the New York Mets franchise. Here's the skinny on the team and the league:
- We are an OOTP 6.5 league (you must own the game) - We have a highly active message board - We sim 3 days a week, 7 games per sim - Sunday, Wednesday and Friday sim schedule. - While this version of the league [FBBL v. 2.0] has been open and simming since April of this year, FBBL is one of the older leagues on the net. We originally opened in February of 2001. Right now we're currently on our restart and we're over two and a half seasons in. - So, we're a stable and active league seeking a stable and active GM. http://fbbl20.ho8.com/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- TEAM: New York Mets - http://fbbl20.ho8.com/main/team17.html 2007 RECORD: 57-58, .496% 05-06 RECORD: 168-157, .516% PLAYOFFS: Once, 2005. Made it to the NLCS. KEY MAJOR LEAGUERS: Joe Nathan, Aubrey Huff, Jake Peavy, Austin Kearns, Joe Blanton, Justin Duchscherer and David Eckstein. FARM SYSTEM: 20th best system led by the 43rd ranked prospect Homer Bailey. FINANCIALS: The Mets have a payroll of 47 million, a revenue of around 65 million and 4.5 million in cash on hand. They're in solid financial shape. STORY: The Mets have been one of the more stable franchises in the FBBL. Not a lot of shake ups or changing management. Their core has been kept pretty much in tact and the financial side of things looks solid. Most of their roster is retained longterm and they don't really have any albatross contracts. No one is grossly overpaid. The current owner has went away to college and he tried to keep up with the team but has lately been totally AWOL. I've given him a month long leash because I like to retain dependable GM's [and he was very dependable before this] but the time has come where I have to make a change and do what's best for the league and the Mets. While it's not a team you'll step into and take to the playoffs right off the bat the frame work is there to build a winner. Nice financials, some solid talent and all of their picks. --------------------------------- If Interested: E-mail me at: avwjase@yahoo.com IM me at: tapouttodamasta PM me at: avwjase on these boards
