Beta Baseball entering its 17th season and looking for three

Looking for an established fictional, talent-only OOTP league? If so, you've found it, and if not, well, consider it! If you wonder why you should join this league rather than any other, consider this: we've been around for 17 seasons, and 6 of out 9 members have been around for at least 10 seasons, yet they'd be very glad to welcome new members to the league. Basically, our owners (featuring such members of this board as mlyons, Vris and MorseMoose) love this league, and I'd like to give you the chance to like it too .

Beta Baseball has been around for years, and we are currently trying to fill three open spots after recently converting to OOTP 2006. The three teams are:

1. Maisonneuve Marauders: An average team with the top minor league system in the league. Superstar SS Keller Addison is in his final year of arbitration, and with a rising cast of youngsters, this could be the team you're looking for if you're interested in taking a team from the ground up - the team has finished 5th of 6 in its division for the past two seasons.

2. Westness Gladiators: This is the holy grail. This team has the best set of players on the field with future hall of famers like 2B Émile Nelligan, 3B Frank Moore, SP Peter Gabriel and SP Derrick Hazeltine in its lineup. It also has a very, very comfortable situation, and a pretty good minor league system. Everything's looking good for the Gladiators, and they're expected to destroy their division this year - unless their very old age starts to show. Trade away some old stars or go all in for the next couple of years? That's for you to decide...

3. Flaming Cliffs Turtles: Fresh off their first winning season ever and a surprising 3rd place, the Turtles can count on a very solid core of players either young or in their prime, such as perhaps the best player in the league, CF Teunis Schuurmans. The problem with the Turtles is that they just don't have any pitchers worthy of mention, and are in a dangerous financial situation due in part to Schuurm's monster contract. An unconventional and interesting challenge, in my opinion.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post here, or PM me. You can always visit our very rudimentary web site at http://www.betabaseball.com if you'd like.

Bump -- c'mon, people, this is a quality league! Join, or . . . not, I guess. Joining's better, though.

Hi,

You might want to change the title on your web page to something other than "Page cannot be found".

I think it's already taken.....

Sadly I'm no expert in domain renewal, and when I renewed it two weeks ago, it simply seemed to vanish, I emailed VizaWeb, but they've been taking forever to answer.
