The BBL has 1 opening
The Kitchener Rangers are open. Stop by our site and check out the rules and if it sounds good to you feel free to join !
http://www.bbl.ssbl.net/waitinglist.html The premise of the BBL universe. Times in North America have changed, and baseball as we knew it had collapsed with the player strike of 2006. Management and it's workforce could know longer see eye to eye therefore spelling the demise of the once proclaimed National pastime. Enter 2010. Two men, Dave Schaff and Phil Zuber sit down together sharing a couple of pops discussing a way to revise the sport. A few ideas are shared and a new league is formed. 24 teams, divided into 2 conferences, and within the conferences 2 divisions of 6 teams each. A split season is decided upon for the format awarding the first half winners an automatic post season bid, and the second half winners subsequent bids. Incase the same team won both halves, the team with the second best record gets the nod. 8 teams will enter into this playoff format, with the winner decided by the last team standing winning the BBL Cup. A 5-7-7 series is established to signify the playoff format for each round. Each team in the BBL will be afforded three levels of minor leagues in which to use; AAA, AA, and A ball. A $100,000,000.00 hard cap will be used, with a cash max of $30,000,000. A league to the north is also formed; the Canadian Independent league. A league on a smaller scale consisting of 2 divisions of 6 teams each. The pay is a bit lower there affording the younger players for example, the opportunity to migrate southward to the U.S. and seek better employment there, while sharing that same thought perhaps an older player in the BBL will have an added chance of extending his career elsewhere. While the differences exist the outcomes remain uncertain leaving the future of the players up in the air as to what route they'll take. As the story unfolds unsuspecting news will most certainly will come about. Without giving away too much of what's in store there may or may not be expansion, contraction, or even talks of other nations ie. Mexico joining in on the experience. What we offer here is not your average sim league, but creating a history book of various events on our baseball universe. Enjoy the ride fellow GM's. I promise you you'll be quite pleased. Dave aka.
