Commissioners and members of leagues hosted on OLS, please read this

Everybody who get's web space on our Online League Server OLS gets a mail with his webspace account information from me, including the following sentences:

There is one annoying thing which I have to tell each commish: When requiring this league domain, you agreed to our online league rules, which you'll find in the FAQ also. Since we get detailed file transfer logs from our internet service provider, we will see whenever forbidden file sharing happens. If this happens, we have to delete the subdomain at once. Don't give your FTP account password away to anybody, because *you* are responsible for your online league!

The OLS idea was born to give a kind of discount to the online leagues, to make the decision easier for them to purchase OOTP4.
Our problem is the amount of internet traffic caused by the leagues. It's quite expensive for us... So we want to decrease that traffic and we try to improve OOTP and the online league procedure. The "server-side unzip tool" was one step into that direction, and soon OOTP will support this tool directly.
BTW, the web space is not the problem, we're having 40 GB on that server. The only problem is the traffic caused when uploading OR downloading files.

We really wouldn't like it when anybody sabotages our efforts to decrease the amount of traffic with publishing any files on our server, which are not related to OOTP. Everybody knows which kind of files are related and which files are not.
Of course, sometimes it can be difficult to say what is OOTP related and what is not. In those cases we will gladly answer any questions. Just send us a mail, and you're on the safe side.
Each OLS webspace is for only one OOTP league. Only OOTP, not any other game. And only one league. Each month after getting the invoice from our ISP, I'm very motivated to use our fulltext search tool or to have a look into the traffic stats report

Dear commissioners, please follow these rules. Thank you!

Dear team owners, please don't hesitate to warn your commish if you find that he uses the web space for any other files than league files. And ask him to contact me, so that we can clarify things. No league will be closed only because somebody made a mistake. But it will be closed immediately if I find such files by myself. And you as an owner will be the one who will lose your team in this case.

Well, almost all OLS hosted leagues are running fine, looking great and are following the rules. Commissioners, keep up the great work! Lets all enjoy this web space without pop ups, ads and great internet speed.
