Looking for a League to Join
I am new to OOTP4. I have had the game for 3 weeks. I am interested in joining a league that is welcoming to someone who is fairly new to the game. Meaning, I will ask a lot of technical questions and will make drafting mistakes. I am willing to commit to a league. Is there a league that is willing to commit to an inexperienced GM? Thanks Ed

Most leagues would prefer an active owner no matter his level of experience. The two leaguea I am in have openings at present and you may find them of interest.

The FDBL is also looking for a few good owners. In a few months. the returning champion Seattle M's will be open. Check out or website at http://www.sportplanet.com/sbb/fdbl/2002.htm and email me back at mattttt123@yahoo.com to let me know which team you are interested in. If its the M's you will have to wait a month or two before you aquire them.
Phil Phillies are open, the HOU Astros[in the middle of the playoff hunt right now, a great team] and SEA. Let me know!

NPBL Back On Track, Looking for Owners
After a system Crash, the NPBL is back up and ran sims beginning again today. Because of the crash, some vacancies were created on the team list and several are now available. The NPBL is a Fictional throw-back league which has no financial model (Since it takes place before Free agency). It features teams and old jerseys like Washington Senators, Seattle Pilots, Brooklyn Dodgers, etc. The league is running great and we could use some more great owners. Please check us out at: Http://npbl-ootp.tripod.com Thanks, My Email is Bjack_dealer@Hotmail.com |

National Past-time Baseball League
It's also a career Leauge, with fictional players. Being a career Leauge, as GM you will be able to build your franchise over time, with a live Amateur Draft of 5 rounds at the end of each season. If your Team has a off year then(while upsetting :0) all the better for your place in the Ammy Draft.
We have some great owners who won't bail, and a Commish who cares about the leauge. One owner from Australia may even write some Newspaper style article's on the Leauge happenings, and maybe the owner/GM's. I like the "Golden Era" feel of the leauge, with such teams as the Brooklyn Dodgers, Milwaukee Braves, Washington Senators,...ahhh yes,....even the Seattle Pilots thrown in! The chance to win a Trophy/ Plaque at the end of each season is a nice throw-in from the Commish. Six Teams available at this time, (Seattle Pilots, San Fransisco, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Brooklyn Dodgers, Philadelphia) so come and join us as a charter member and build that Baseball Dynasty that you know you can! "The one constant through all the years has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past. It reminds us of all that once was good, and what could be again." -Terrance Mann (James Earl Jones) Field of Dreams 1989 |
