Rash of resigning owners
is it just me or are alot of leagues seeing alot of openings all of a sudden? Is it the fact that baseball is coming to a close and people have lost interest in baseball in leu of Football, Hockey, and basketball? Are all the kids going back to school and don't have time? Are people simply growning tired of OOTP4? Or is it something else, like the OOTP4 community has become saturated with leagues that no one knows where to turn any more for a good league? I dunno... but even the NAHHBL has 3 openings at one time... something we haven't had since season 1... Man... And I look and there's a page full of ads for owners wanted on the first page alone.
Just a observation. |

IMO, many of the owners probably follow "sports in season" so with baseball winding down and football taking center stage they lose interest.
Just my nickel... |

So far, neither the TLB nor the HBA have been hit by this trend. Hopefully, it stays that way

The odd thing I notice is leagues with 3 to 5 openings at once. Do some leagues wait to fill openings when they have several? Or do some leagues only check on active owners once or twice per season?

mlb66 may have a bunch, but i think tha'ts because we had a 3 week layoff while we switched commissioners. that much dead time and people go away. mostly i think there are a lot of people looking for "the perfect league" they sample this and that, treating the leagues like a giant salad bar.
my other theory is that there are a lot of little whiners who won't play if they're not a playoff caliber team. they have to win or they go crying to mommy. I've seen a lot of that. |

I agree with the whiner theory to an extent.
I had two GM's dump their teams in the leagues opening season once they were eliminated from the pennant race. I bet Bobby Valentine wished he could have done that.
