New League

Hey all, my name is Rob and I am starting up a new OOTP simulation league. I used to run a FPS Baseball league that ran for 2 full years, but we all decided to part ways after my mother died. I took a break from sim leagues and now I am ready to start back up. I have great experience as a commissioner, and I hope I can get back to the fun days of simming. Ok so enough about me, here's the details on my league:

It's going to be a real pace baseball league. 1 day of simming each day, just like in real life. This league isn't made for simming through seasons like "snap". My plan with this league is to try and keep it going for numerous years, updating the league with all the new ootp's. It will be a 16 team fictional league to start off. We will start off with 16 teams because its small and easy to do, then we will have a detailed expansion in the future years. Fictional players will be used because I want this league to feel like we are all part of our own organization. I know I get more pride in knowing I turned a league of "no names" into a star league where eveyrone knows your name

Here are some league rules we will use
*No DH in either league
*4 divisions of 4 teams
*Coaches/Scouts turned off
*Injuries/fatigue/salary cap on
*5 man rotations
*5 round rookie draft
*35 round Initial Live Draft (draft will be broken up into 3 dates. Each date lasting about 12 rounds)

All I ask for you joining is that you are active, you have the latest 4.1 ootp4 patch, and you have time to devote to a league. I will go all out on this league to make it fun for everyone. We'll have weekly newspaper filled with articles and interviews, and it will be a grand ol' time I also am pretty good with websites, so it wont be a crummy looking site. Since you are all giving me your time, I figure the commish should give you something nice to look at on the site.

So if you are interested in joining a league with a good commish who thinks owners come first, send me an email at robrichards100@yahoo.com Include your First/Last name, age, and just a quick sentence on why you want to join. All are welcome!

I forgot to mention that there will be a real life trophy handed out each year to the champion VIA mail. It will be worth approx. 100 dollars value. You can put it next to the pictures of your son at your work

All of that perfect typing and great advertising for a league I'm considering applying for, and then you have to ruin it with that slop typing on the 2nd post.

LOL, well to tell you the truth, my KFC dinner was getting cold and I couldn't wait to dig in. The stupid workers forgot my gravy though!!! Oh well, it was still a good meal. Are you interested in joining or are you just pulling my leg? Don't let my sloppy/rushed writing in post #2 ruin it

I am also looking for an Assistant Commissioner. This person needs to know what they are doing in OOTP4, and needs to have a lot of free time to devote to this league. I know that in order to have a great league, you need to have a great assistant commissioner. So, if you would like to be my Assistant Commissioner, make a side note in the registration email saying so, plus include a short bio about yourself.

All is going well for the league. Thanks to the wonderful acts of kindess by people like Mark Cooley, who are going out of there way to help out the league, it appears as though this league will be a big success. We still have some open slots, and I still need an assistant commish, so feel free to email me. I should have the website up and running sometime Monday, so I like where it's going! Thanks to everyone who's making this fun already!!!

I'd like to announce Rush22 as the league's Assistant Commissioner.

Also, this league will be doing 82 game seasons, with 4 man starting rotations. Reason behind this- We get 2 to 3 seasons in per year. If we did 162 games, we'd only get about 1 Season in every year

Were trying to fill the league up in the next few days, so if interested give Rob or I an email, and we'll get you set up. Hurry before all the spots are taken! It's sure to be a blast, .

We have ONE!! Yes, I repeat, ONE!!! Spot remaining! Good luck to the last person who gets it!

Also, I have finished a rough draft of the website. It can be found at http://simleagues.com/usba/ That's basically the design, but I will add things here and there! All comments welcome

Great job so far Rob! I love the logos and team cities/names. Well, except that Spuds logo! Seriously though, good job so far and good luck!

Scott

Thanks!

However, all the team logos were made by Mark Cooley (the best man on the Earth! ). I came up with the city names though, and the Spuds logo has GOT to be my favorite

Also.. sorry i took your initials. I hadn't realized there was a USBA, until after I registered my Message Board, and the League Files. Your USBA is still Number 1

Why thanks. I took a poll amongst all the GMs from both leagues and we won 20-16. Of course we have four more owners so maybe it was not a fair vote

Morgan....it's nice that you found another league. I mean you have been kicked out the NGBL...TWICE....once as Morgan Hoffman and once as Ramon Thrash....then you were kicked out of iMLB.

Does anyone else know how old he is? Because our calculations had it at 12 years old!!!

I did like how you tricked us in the NGBL...you were kicked out for arguing and sending bad messages to one of our owners....and then you lie and change your AIM to Mortgageguy62 and your name to Ramon Thrash to get another team....but you aren't so smart buddy.....then you're 12 year old butt got booted from the iMLB...so you can take that off your signature....
