BTTF League Waiting List

The Back to the Future League (BTTF) waiting list has dwindled down to three people on it. Take a look at our league: http://www.staudernet.com/bttf and consider signing up to get on the list. We are currently in the 2007 season and plan to play continuous seasons until about the year 2020. Turnover rate seems to be about 3-4 owners per season whereby we complete a season in 3 to 4 months including all off season activities.

Detroit Tigers Available

We have exhausted our lists and the Detroit Tigers are available. We are in the May-June 2007 season.

Come get on the list. BTTF is a well run league, you won't be disappointed.

Yep, the BTTF is a very well run league. Steve does a fantastic job of keeping things going and the owner activity is very high. You won't be disappointed!

Opening Filled But Join Waiting List

The Detroit Tigers opening has been filled, however, the waiting list is only one person long. A good time to review the league and consider signing up on the waiting list. We tend to lose about 3 owners per season on average, so it may not be a long wait. We are in our 2007 season of real players..........including rookies each year. No fictional players in this league. Come join us!! Take a look: http://www.staudernet.com/bttf

How do you have no fictional players in 2007? How do you know who will be playing in the majors then?

Every year the rookies names are edited to reflect real life minor and college players. So the player you draft is often drafted by the real MLB that same year.

It just seems kinda wierd how you say no fictional players you will eventually have to have fictional players, once you get so far ahead of the actually major league season, you can't really start going to elementary and high schools to get accurate representations of major league talent.

Real rookies

We keep our rookie draft to 3 rounds each year which results in 90 new rookies a year. The 2001 1st year player draft of about 150 players and the 2002 player draft (June 2002) generated another 162 players. Also, I go thru all levels of each minor league to find real players not in our game. So far after 7 seasons, we have not run out of real name players yet. The plan is to review college seniors rosters and generate names there if we get to a point of no more players. We also will have the 2003 June draft coming up for more names. We use the actual rookie lists generated by OOTP4 and delete out the lower players to keep the top 90 rookies, then I edit the fictitious names to real names matching positions & handedness. Only the names are edited.....................no other attributes are changed for skills. The league has rookies each year utilizing real name players, however, their ages are not actual.............or we would never have young rookies introduced to the league. This keeps a certain level of realism in the league.
