NPBL - in 27th season - Looking for Owners

The National Pastime Baseball League, an OOTP6.5 league that's in its 27th season, is looking for a few owners.

We are expanding from 24 to 28 teams, and need a couple of owners because a few people have become too busy to remain in the league through the expansion process. Many of our owners are longtime board members so you'll probably recognize some of the screen names.

The NPBL is a no-financials league, so we really get attatched to our players. We are still using 6.5 but will probably move to a newer version of the game in 2008.

The NPBL is one of those few elite grand-daddy leagues. It's been running for more than six real-world years. Those 27 seasons were all simmed 10 games at a time, three sims a week.

A first-class league, with all the details, in a conservative style. It's all about baseball strategy and management skills; no silly stunts and gimmicks. This is a baseball league, more pure than any that exists on the planet earth today. Bud Selig's nightmare.

There aren't many like this one. It doesn't even need to be played up, but I'm so proud of this league, I can't resist singing its praises.

I couldn't resist putting in a good word for the league...

This was my first OOTP online league, and the one I keep coming back to. I've been involved with the league during two different stints and if I was forced to choose only 1 league to play in, it would be this one.

Definitely a great bunch of owners and an awesome history...highly recommended!!
