Canadian Baseball League has one opening
The Canadian Baseball League has one opening. We're a long running OOTP 6.5 online league. We are just finishing our 23rd season, and have an opening for someone interested in taking part in the league.
Montreal Royaute The team is coming off a 71-91 season. But with a solid group of prospects coming up, including LF Sammie "Lumpy" Schwanke (CBL 7th best prospect), RF John "Porky" Gregory (CBL 20th best prospect) and Calvin "The Rebel" Figueroa (CBL 21st best prospect). If you're interested, contact me at cjurksch@dal.ca. We are just finishing the post season, so it's an ideal time to join as you'll be able to take part in free agency and the draft. Montreal is gone - but we do have one opening:
Quebec Berce Quebec won the EL Central division in the current year with a 83-79 record. They were eliminated 3-0 in the first round. E-mail me at cjurksch@dal.ca if you are interested in the team. The off-season begins on Tuesday, so now is the time to get into the league. |

This is a very good league with a very good Commish and some very solid GMs.
HOWEVER - if your looking for the same ol', run of the mill league where every team has open ended spending, 60+ million of cash to blow every year no matter what and so much talent that you have 5 Outfielders sitting in AAA with 6/7/8 ratings in contact, then you need not apply here. This league is very challenging and you must pay attention to your finances. Once you get used to this league, you won't find another as good.

Don't want to say which teams? By going off the exports, Saskatchewan looks the most likely, but a few others look like likely candidates as well, including my old Thunder Bay.

I saw you made it to the semi-finals with a 120 win team this year. I was rooting for you. I like James plenty, but 25 seasons and never to the finals and then you put up that kind of win total. Wow.

Yeah - it was a great season. I felt my team was a bit overrated though. I wasn't really happy with it - but I couldn't exactly go out and make a trade at the deadline when we had a .740 winning percentage (or whatever it was then). I'm just glad I made it to the LCS. After 25 years, 10 playoff apperances, that was only my 2nd time making it THAT far.
