UK based OOTP6.5
The UKBL has a vacancy at the Los Angeles Dodgers.
This is a team on the up with a good few prospects about to hit the majors, some already there and a top 10 draft pick this year. The Dodgers are in a tough division, it’s going to need a committed GM to make a dent in the NL West as all teams have some excellent players. The UKBL is currently running in it's 28th season, and 8th real year and is an established league. Currently we in the 2027 pre-season, so an excellent time to join to get your head around things and have a chance to build your team. Currently the league is simmed with OOTP6.51a. We are looking an active, committed person who is looking for a challenge and a lot of fun. Anyone interested please visit us here and fill out the application form. |

The Toronto Bluejays has also just opened up. We are currently right at the start of the off season with free agency due to start on Monday so it is the perfect time to join the league. We have a great core of active owners and although it is called the UK Baseball League - us Brits are severely out numbered!
Just a little more info on the teams. LA Dodgers Have a decent major league team which includes 3 great young players at SS, C and CF to go along with the best minor league system in the whole league. Al (the former owner) did a great job rebuilding, but unfortunately had to step down due to personal reasons. If you want an exciting young team then this is the team for you. Toronto Bluejays Haven't had a winning season for a while but had their best season for nine years last year thanks to some good young players including one of the top young SP in the league, and a 24 yr old 3B who could one day be the best player in the league as he currently has maximum talent ratings for contact, power and patience. Two exciting young teams who just need a good owner for them to start competing. |

Oh yes, I forgot to add that either of these teams could be relocated to your chosen town at the drop of a hat.
To persanolise your experience, each of the draft picks in the first 2 rounds can be renamed to a historic franchise player of your choice. It's fun. Drop by! |

Entering the second Round of Free Agency, we have a new Dodgers GM and yet the Blue Jays remain ownerless. This is a good opportunity to take hold of a team which could go either way. It could rebuild with some talented youngsters or it could be a contender with some clever FA signings.
Come along and have a looksee! ![]() |

This appears to be more like a blog than an advertisement for a GM, but the season approaches and the Blue Jays have no GM.
We are looking for either an entry-level GM or an experienced one with a will to win. We have a participation points system which can improve your team year on year and you can relocate the team to wherever you want in the continental US or canada or nearest protectorates. Come along and have a look at the rules! |

Opening Day has been completed and both teams who are vacant are having a decent year. Both are viable and have a (albeit slim) chance in the divisions this year.
Make a few deals and the world can be your otter in the UKBL! You can AIM me on ACLmariners or email ukbl@daishi.co.uk Last edited by UKBL_Commish : 05-01-2008 at 01:11 PM. Reason: addition of contact |
