Opening in 1922 Factional League (Random Debut Normalized DB)
Home Nations Baseball Association (HNBA)
Main Page: HNBA Home Reports Page: Home Nations Baseball Association Home Forum: Home Nations Baseball Association - Home Commissioner: Bristolduke (The Ol' Gaffer) E-Mail Adddress: wtatteberry@att.net OOTP Version: '07/8 Game Needed: Yes Players: Historical # of Teams: 24 Export Deadline: Daily 7pm League Time per Sim: 5 Days (In Season) Latest Season: Just Finished 1921 Special Rules: Spritze/ Garlon Random Debut/ Normailzed Database and Transfer Fees with players. See constitution here. The league is built on the structure of an alternate history of Soccer (Football) failing, the UK creating a baseball league in preparation for a world baseball league which never happened, but things took a sour turn that lead to high quality US players jumping to the UK. Read about that here. To make thinks more unique the league uses the Spritze/Garlon database with normalized stats and random arrival for players. For those who don't know normalization takes all the players' stats and relates them to a standard. This puts players from the late 1800s on a more level playing field with players from the late 90s. The random arrival is really fun, and makes for interesting draft classes, and teams. In the inaugural draft I got late 19th century 2B Cupid Childs, George "Babe" Ruth (The Pitcher), and Astros Slugger from the 70's Bob Watson. This league is very laid back, and building it's history entirely. The file is very, very small as it is only the main league & it's Triple A league. Still a great time to get in, and be a part of a very creative and competitive league. |

Available Team: Buckie Whalers (1st Overall Pick in the draft)
This league built in a unique manner, and is so much fun. The league has just completed playing the second World Test or Championship, and the off season has yet to begin. The off season will be dominated by trading and the draft. Our next draft class includes Bobby Abreu, Pete Rose, Wally Joyner, Don Larsen, B.J Surhoff, & Nick Johnson to name a few. Here is more on the team that is open,. Buckie Whalers (57-105): Finished last in 1921 after finishing 7 games out of the wildcard & 8 out in division in 1920. The team will have the first pick the draft after this season. With a GM that cares this team can get turned around. Starting with the 1st pick certainly gives this team a head start. Notable Players- Jose Cruz, George Burns, Tito Francona, Earl Moore, & Aaron Cook. |

Buckie Whalers Filled, however another team has now opened up.
Available Team: Limavady Greyhounds (8th Overall Pick in the draft) The league has just completed playing the second World Test or Championship, and the off season has yet to begin. The off season will be dominated by trading and the draft. Our next draft class includes Bobby Abreu, Pete Rose, Wally Joyner, Don Larsen, B.J Surhoff, & Nick Johnson to name a few. Here is more on the team that is open,. Limavady Greyhounds (71-91) : Finished 4th in the Cumbria Division in 1921. They won that division in 1920 finishing up 8 games losing in the Division Test. The team will have the 8th pick in the draft after this season. With a GM that cares this team gets back in the conversation. Notable Players- Dolf Luque, Dennis Rasmussen, Hank Fischer, Red Ruffing, Jon Rauch, Charlie Hollocher, Donn Clendenon, and more. I'm telling you with TLC this team wins again. Available Team: Essex Eagles (5th Overall Pick in the draft)
The league will require tight financial management starting after next season, with a balance between arbitration and long term contracts. The transfer system will challenge any GM's fiscal expertise. Our next draft class includes Bobby Abreu, Pete Rose, Wally Joyner, Don Larsen, B.J Surhoff, & Nick Johnson to name a few. Here is more on the team that is open,. Essex Eagles(68-94) : Finished 6th in the Coastal Division in 1921. Notable Players- George Sisler, Patsy Doughterty, Adrian Beltre, Matt Nokes, Gene DeMontreville, Larry Christenson, Harry Betts, Steve Reed saved 32. This team can score and with a little pitching could be a factor in the near future. |
