The Dow Jones Industrials League will begin play Tuesday night and are looking for one more owner. The league will begin play in 1954 and the settings will be adjusted accordingly.

Currently, we are using one sub-league with 2 divisions (split-season enabled) and playing a 154 game season. We are also using coaches and scouts (although for the first season all personnel have been leveled the same to get everyone off the ground on equal footing). We are using a 2-8 rating scale across the board, but draft compensation and the rule 5 draft have been disabled.

The DJIL is looking for someone to take over the Procter & Gamble Stars. They're mediocre at best, but they do have a very good farm system, including the two top offensive prospects in the game. We're set to start the amateur draft tomorrow and the Stars have the first pick in the draft as well.

You know what, commish? I smell a bunch of wusses who are afraid to take on my mighty DJIL Champion Westinghouse Kings. These board-dwellers just aren't tough enough to deal with the beat down they'd get at the hands of league MVP Daniel Carr and company. And since both open teams are in the same division as me, I can understand why these folks are too scared to join up with us.

Buncha wimps. Hell, they're all probably so lilly-livered that they'll just sit there and let me talk this kind of smack without even replying, let alone join up for our league. Face it, commish, we should look somewhere else for players. These chumps just can't hack it in the DJIL. But at least they know it, right? I mean, better they should just continue to cower in fear than sign on and get their butts handed to 'em...

But seriously, folks, the DJIL is a small but tasty little league and we'd love to get a couple of you fine OOTPers on board. And really, after my little rant above don't you just want to come make me look bad?

The DJIL has converted to OOTP10 for the start of the 1958 season, our 8th, and are looking for owners to take over the Bethlehem Steelers, Procter & Gamble Stars and Woolworth Rams.

If you're interested in any of these teams, please send me an e-mail to the address above. We're beginning free agency Tuesday night and after completing the off-season tasks we will start the new season in about a week.
