EagleEye_0 took the final GM spot. We have room for 7 more owners, 8 more managers and 7 more fans/press. The GM position has a lot of popularity, I can understand that... but if you want to try something different than what you'd do in any other league, other positions are probably the best, and look at the coincidence... these are the ones left

I took the owner position because I can essentially be the other two positions... unless I get lazy.
![]() Ie. if my GM starts signing high power, low OBP guys thinking they're stars, i can cut his sorry ass, so he'd better do things my way. Ah, the power.... |

Can you dump all of the players from a league into a pool and redraft without losing historical data?
If you can.... to add a little depth to beta baseball, I think we should take a page out of the ABL's (http://www.thepostgamereport.net) book and sim some seasons under autopilot. He (John, the commish) simmed 100 years before starting his on-line league. If I could start mine over, I would do exactly that. This would create the team markets (start them all out at average... let them form on their own), team histories, etc. One hundred seasons might be too much to do, but 20 or 30 would add storylines, dynasties, etc. Of course, you could reset any or all of it you wanted before we began play. It might also be interesting to watch the owners select which teams they wanted to buy.

I don't mind doing that... I'll email everybody with some questions concerning about the league (including this one), to see what the guys want and make it interesting.

When I started this thread on the 6th, we had 17 members. In 6 days, 16 more people joined. Since we need 17 more now, hopefully next week we'll have a full league... please join guys, we have a lot of fans spots left, managers by the ton and a couple of owners spots too.

Are there some preliminary things we can start doing? Could we find a spot on the web page where Owners, General Managers, Managers, and Beat Writers can start posting their bios or philosophies?
Were the cities ever chosen? Could they be posted? Maybe someone needs to work on some logos?

Yeah, I'd definitely like to see some preliminary stuff being done. Maybe if something like city names, logos, etc could be done, then the open positions would be a little more attractive. It could give those out there a little better idea of what the league will be like. I don't think I could really contribute much to this, I'm still pretty new to OOTP, but I'm sure some guys out there already signed up could come up with some good ideas.
