State Pride Baseball
I'm looking to start a league that I think is pretty original...
SPB is going to start off being a forum based league. We would appreciate if you had AIM or Windows Live Messanger for trading. You get to choose your state(home or favorite) and develop your own team in this fictional league. The season is only 80 games so we will get some history pretty fast. The Championship Tourney(name could use a lil flair  ) has 32 teams invited for that ncaa tourney feel to determine what state is the best in baseball! Should be a pretty fun and exciting league as the playoffs get a lot involved and a lot of pressure to win it all.Forum: statepridebaseball :: Index Here is a basic list of rules and stuff...AIM me at AarNation8 for more details Overview *Number of Teams:50 (expansion to Canada planned if league is flourishing) *Leagues are divided by Mississippi River *Scouts-Off *Coaches-League Vote *Suspensions-On *Drug Suspensions-League Vote *Minors-AAA, AA (may expand) *Ratings- 1 through 10 for all Incentives *Owners choose State's team name(has to relate to the state) and minor league team names *Owners choose team city(in state), and minor league cities *Owners choose team colors and uniforms(logos if desired) *League starts in 2008 with fantasy draft(auto-draft) *Every 2 Seasons of ownership-You may "have a child" entered into the ammy draft(max 3) Rules Basic Rules *Active Roster Size-25 *Expanded Roster-Disabled *Min-days of service for one year-90 *DL List lenght-15 Days Trades *Trade Deadline-May 31st(could do a league vote) Draft picks *May be traded *May 15th(could do league vote) *5 rounds Financial Rules *Minimum service years for free agency-6 years *Minimum years required for arbitration-3 years *Minimum services years for minor league free agency-6 years *Revenue Sharing-Luxury Tax *Cash Max-12,500,000 Schedule *Games-80(70 in minors) *Starts-Sunday in early April Playoffs *32 teams qualify *All division winners qualify(5 teams each league) *Remaining teams(11 each league) qualify by wildcard *Playoff series length: Round 1-(league vote) Round 2(league vote) Round 3-(league vote) Round 4-(league vote) Round 5-(league vote) Awards *Offensive and Defensive awards voted on by owners *Hall of Fame voted on by owners *All_Stars voted on by owners Teams Available:Check owner list on forum Last edited by AarNation8; 07-09-2008 at 07:23 PM. |

Ok, gotcha. You're all in...Just to let everyone know, there is a wee problem right now. I fell asleep with my laptop in my bed and it fell to the floor and I only have half a screen right now
So just keep applying, and I'll let everyone know when it get fixed. Probably should only be over the weekend or so. That and there is the Colorado brewers festival in my town this weekend, so I probably wouldn't have gotten to upload any of the reports or files anyway Once we get a good amount of memebers(30 +) we can start to get this show on the road. Ok, its nice to see so many of you interested so quickly in the league. I will have an updated owner list from the postings later this evening, it looks as though everyone will be getting the teams they asked for except one...CoachDirty, someone asked for Missouri before ya so if another team interests ya just repost... My computer is still being fixed right now, so files won't be updated until I can get that going, which hopefully will be soon(thank goodness for the warrenty
) My goal is to have everything going after the 4th of July weekend. I'm thinking of having owner list updated in forum by 7 or 8 Mountain Time. Thanks everyone!
