The Angels have some decent pieces and are a middle of the pack AL club. It's a nice chance for an owner looking for a historical team with a bit of a challenge to come in and make a name.

Looking to pick up a Detroit Tigers owner.

You'll have such players as:

- Al Kaline

- Rocky Colavito

- Tim McCarver

- Jim Bunning

and

- Don Drysdale

among others.

Detroit is currently fifth in the American League, 9.5 games back of the unstoppable Minnesota Twins, but just 7.5 back of Boston for 2nd place (and we're doing two playoff teams per league). With solid ownership, and a couple of moves, the Tigers could be right in the thick of things (we're just coming up on the AS break tomorrow night).

The Yankees are now available.

The Yankees, as we're in the middle of July 1964, have struggles to a 41-45 record this year, but are just 10 games out of first. There is still time to fix these once mighty Yankees.

It's a team in transition, but you get Mickey Mantle. That alone is almost worth it.

Please, please read our Constitution (info in the first post of this thread) before you check into joining. This is an active league that requires some writing about your team and league. Please don't join if you don't plan to be an active participant.

I look forward to meeting some new folks!

Baltimore has been filled. As we go into the 1968 season we'll now look for successor GM's for Detroit, the Yankees, and the KC Athletics (that could be moved to Oakland if that's something you'd want).

These owners would come in as AGM's this year, and then take over immediately following the season as those teams current GM's are taking expansion teams.
