FBA Has Just Started 1960, Need An Owner For SF
Update on Teams Remaining: Angels, Mets, Twins, White Sox, and Athletics!
The Forever Baseball Association II is simming the 60's like they've never been simmed before! What's different?? We're taking the original 16 MLB teams from 1960 and expanding a few years early to add the Mets, Angels, Astros, and Twins. The Senators roster is staying in Washington, Milwaukee is not moving to Atlanta this decade, and KC is not moving to Oakland. The four expansion teams will be stocked initially with fictional players. These guys will be allowed to play out their careers, but no new fictional players will be created. (If you're up for a real challenge, take one of those four fictional teams and see if you can trade and draft them into a powerhouse!) And... the FBA II will be introducing divisional play nine years earlier than real baseball did, as we will begin with 4 divisions of 5 teams. The divisions will be slightly different than those created in 1969, i.e. purely geographical. Cincinnati will be in the NL East, St. Louis will be in the West, Detroit will be in the AL West. Teams are going fast; we're already half-filled. Play begins next weekend, sooner if we fill up earlier. Sims will be Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday - one week at a time when the regular season hits. Visit our webpage (still under construction) to see what teams are left. FBA home Last edited by whizkid1950; 09-16-2008 at 07:08 AM. Reason: Update |

1960 league
We've got a great bunch of GM's so far but still have some teams open. Come check us out:
FBA home My apologies to any of you who may have emailed and not gotten a response from me. Have had a little trouble with google mail this past week. Please resend your team preferences. (Washington and Kansas City are still available, who pick $1 and #2 in the amateur draft.) Last edited by whizkid1950; 08-13-2008 at 07:23 PM. |

FBA Inaugural Season - One Opening
We're approaching our first spring training with one franchise left to fill, the New York Mets. This team will be making it's debut two years earlier than the real Mets expansion franchise did, and with some talented fictional players on the roster there's no way this team will lose 120. Like a challenge? It doesn't get any more challenging than this! Check us out:

More Open Teams
We've had a few vacancies in the FBA, as we separate the men from the boys early in this league. The following teams are now available:
Kansas City Athletics - somehow this team has gotten off to a 3-3 start, but there's going to be some rough sledding for some brave GM to turn these guys into contenders. Your task will at least be lightened by the number one pick in this year's ammy draft. Cincinnati Reds - Frank Robinson is on hand, along with Vada Pinson and some other interesting hitters. This team was just a year away from an NL pennant in real baseball, so the foundation is there. Houston Colt 45's - forget about this team being an expansion club. Aggressive free agent signings have turned this team into a certifiable contender. Come check us out: FBA home Last edited by whizkid1950; 09-17-2008 at 09:07 PM. |

Great work--Difference our ages---My favorite player was SS before Aparacio ("Caracas Cat" in between) Luke Appling
1949 was one of my 1st favorite teams Eddie Robinson 1B and Gus Zernial in LF--the power duo was unique for that W.Sox era |

League Openings
You guys caught me napping! Email sent to philosopherp.
I'm opening up the Red Sox and Mets, due to lack of activity from those GM's. Also KC is available still, and they have the pick of the litter in the 1960 ammy draft which has some great names in it. Check us out: FBA home |
