Overlords Baseball League needs an owner

The Overlords Baseball League needs a new owner for the Washington Senators, our previous owner having disappeared without any notice. The Senators are in a tough division, but have some potential if they can get an active owner to do some work. Our league is a historical league that just switched to OOTP9 before our 1939 season begins. We're currently in the middle of the 1938 amateur draft (which we run after the playoffs) with free agency still to come. The OBL sims three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday and runs two game weeks per sim to speed up our march through baseball history. We already have stars entering the league such as DiMaggio, Williams, Musial with guys like Gehrig and Lefty Grove towards the end of their careers (Though both still perform well as Gehrig won the NL MVP and Grove got the NL Cy Young!).

The Senators pitching staff is led by the 27 year old Van Mungo who is rated 6/10/5 and can eat some innings. He's signed for the next two seasons. Dutch Leonard is also in the rotation while their minor leagues have a 3/9/7 Talent prospect and the just drafted Ed Lopat at 3/8/7 Talents.

On offense the Senators have some stars but very little depth. The big name is Arky Vaughan, rated 9/8/5/8/10 with Gold Glove defense at second and short. At 26 years old he already has a 402 career VORP and basic stat line of .320/.411/.443. Backing him up is 27 year old Bill DeLancey at catcher, rated 6/7/5/7/8 at the plate. They also have good corner infielders in 20-somethings Merv Connors and Charlie English. The 35 year old Travis 'Stonewall' Jackson provides some nice offense and more Gold Glove defense at shortstop. The outfield is the main weak spot with 35 year old Mule Haas at the corners and not much else. There is another nice third baseman in Single-A who is ready for the big leagues in Don Lang with 7/6/3/6/8 ratings.

The basic Washington season is their hitters hit but there isn't enough offense to consistently overcome their AL East rivals and the pitchers are solid but unspectacular aside from great games from Mungo. The Senators may be best served by trading off some of the older players and trying to retool on the run around Mungo, Vaughan and the other young infielders. With free agency coming up they can add some needed bats to the outfield.

Anyone interested?

While we appreciate the interest, we'd prefer someone who has some experience in other online leagues. Throwing new owners into the fire of a league in mid-stride doesn't always work out best for the rest of the teams involved.

This is a great league and kelric is one of the 2 great commisioners we have. If you are looking for a solid historical league with very tough competition this where you want to be. I also hear the winner of the last World Series is practically unbeatable.

Sorry about not checking the thread. My work schedule keeps my internet time to a minimum right now.
