WARNING LEAGUES: Avoid this guy like the plague (details inside)

His OOTP Board Name is Jaahm it appears.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up about this guy. I'm functioning as a co-commish for a league I'm in. A longstanding league, too. Well respected. One of our commissioners is out due to health reasons and I'm helping out as I can. This guy joined our league and was in it for one week. He caused issues the entire time and it came to a head when he logged in during the message board draft, loitered around and then logged out without making his pick. We had a 12-hour clock. The guy was then signed on as a guest where he sat and loitered for over 90 minutes (at this point, he had wasted 10.5 hours of draft time) when I, acting as co-commish, said enough was enough and autopicked him and moved the draft along. Everything is documented. The guy was intentionally milking the clock and he never once denied doing it, either. In fact, as soon as I made his pick withink 30 seconds he was on the board ready to make his pick. Further cementing the fact that he was just "hanging around" to waste everyone's time. He then quit the league.

Now, this in and of itself is no biggie. We were parting ways and I think the entire league was cool with that. I don't think of of us would have recommended him for any league if asked at that point but none of us would have actively warned people about him, either. It's what this jackass did next that pushed us in the direction that all OOTP commissioners should be warned about the guy. If you wish to ignore the warning that's fine as well... just know, this guy has a history.

After quitting he exported his lineups and he extended all of his free agents for max contracts, set ticket prices to absurd heights and then did all of this releasing. Yet again, all documented.

I can't tell anyone else how to run their league. Heck, I don't even run one myself. I'm just helping out, really. But I can help the OOTP community by arming you guys with all of the info I can about this bad apple. This guy shouldn't be allowed into any league after this display. Ultimately, he'll find somewhere to go because roaches always do but if I can limit his spread, I'll be happy.

The guy, from the moment he joined, was a pain in the balls and even after he quit he tried everything to ruin a league with 8 years of history. I don't care what rationale he can come up with... which I can't see anything we did to him, anyway. But even still, no matter what his rationale his scorched earth departure is purely and simply, bush league. No two ways about it. Avoid this guy.

I'm one of the other co-commish's in this league as well and I can attest to the fact that this was as uncalled for as anything I've seen done in an OOTP league as can be.

I'm the one who runs the sims and since a backup file didn't work....I had to spend over an hour going piece by piece over every single player in free agency and then reassigning their contracts dollar for dollar and placing them back on the team. Fun stuff eh? Not to mention, the fact that I had to go back in and fix his financials since he set the ticket proces to around 1,000,000,000,000 per ticket and had put the squad at around a negative 50 million in operating costs.

Now, we're left with a decision to make on the max contracts he signed prior to releasing everyone.

I'm in Baseball Maelstrom and FBBL Retro and this occurred in FBBL Retro. I basically only associate with well-run, longstanding leagues because of stuff like this but even we're not immune it seems. I've been in this game for 7-8 years and this is by far the biggest b---h move I've ever seen.

Yeah, this was totally uncalled for. I have a kid in elementary school that's more of a grown up than this clown. Let him in your league at your own risk. This guy has the great distinction of knocking WestRayKnight off my list of biggest douchebaggery in OOTP history. I thought it couldn't get any worse than that guy harassing and threatening GM's on AIM but this guy takes the cake when he actually tries to sabotage the league.

Just some further evidence as to the damage he did to the Royals as he left. All of this can be and has been fixed but this is a ridiculous way for any GM to behave.

Wow, now I understand why people like this still exist in the game. How can you warn people about a nuissance like this without providing a inkling of their identity? If the guy wanted to remain anonymous he should have thought of that before he pulled this garbage, IMO. You guys do a disservice to every league out there by allow scum like this to operate freely.

There is a link to a post where he provided his e-mail and AIM as well as name. That should be "consent" since he's allowed everyone to already see it. There's the guy this thread is about.
