- League Website: Baseball Maelstrom -- an OOTP8 league - League type: Started with real players (2001 season) but now have mostly fictional (2025 season) with 2 historical players entering every season - League Rules: Maelstrom Rules - The Basics - Special Rules: One Legend per team that can't be traded and two Legends entering each season, Post-season triple-elimination Tournament for teams that didn't make the playoffs, and the Maelstrom College League that feeds the Majors - Number of Teams: 28 - OOTP version: OOTP9

Heading into our 25th season (6 1/2 years of real time), we've just made the switch to OOTP9. With it has come an opening with the Texas Rangers. They are led by franchise Legend Randy Johnson.
