Exciting fast-paced 19th-century league needs a few good owners!
The Trans-Continental Base Ball Association was founded in 1870 by the Union and Central Pacific Railroads as the first fully professional baseball league. In 1871 the league expanded nationwide. We are now beginning 1872, our third season.
The league is high-scoring - almost 20 combined runs per game last season. It is fast-paced - two weeks per sim with three sims per week. It is mostly fictional but each year, a class of top historical rookies are added to the free agent pool. Finances are turned on and players become free agents after eight seasons. We have a computer-controlled independent league where free agents can come and go, and league owners can purchase players from the independent league teams. If you're interested, please contact me via PM. The offseason is just starting and there are some very good free agents available!

The Kansas City Cowboys are still open. They were last in their league last year, but with the 4th overall pick, they just took pitcher Jake Polite. Along with 24-year-old SP Joe Repp, the 19th-ranked prospect in the league, they look to have a strong rotation in the future.
If you're not familiar with 19th-century baseball, you may be surprised how much action there is. Teams averaged 9 runs per game last year, some more than 10. Our league's top offensive team had a .307/.332/.438 line. There were over 5,000 stolen bases in the league last season. There were also 706 homeruns, an average of 28 per team. The league leader hit 13. In short, this is not low-scoring, station-to-station baseball! Opening Day is a little more than a week away.

The Cowboys have been taken. If you're interested in the league, feel free to respond. It's possible we'll lose some more owners as we near Opening Day.
