2009 Rosters League

I am getting pretty close to finishing up a 2009 roster set for OOTP 6.5.

I was tired of seeing this half @ssed league files for the current year. You know the ones where players dont even come close to replicating their real life accomplishment. The ones where Pujols is 300x times better than anyone else in the league. Ect.

I am quite adept at understanding the ratings and how they translate to stats in OOTP 6.5. I am using real life career splits and accurate talents and ratings for all of the players. I also have approximately 30-40 minor leaguers per affiliate.

Is there enough interest out there to start a 2009 OOTP 6.5 league? And I am not talking GM's who onloy want to play with the players of today and once their favorites are gone, so will they. I was planning on the ammys coming into the league to also be real players from history. Starting with the 2009 draft, have the players who debuted in 1950 as the ammy class or the like. Is there any interest out there in a league like that?

I would be interested in a new league. The last two leagues I have joined, the Commish bailed right around the trade deadline.

With only three responses so far, its not looking like there is a ton of interest.

With or without interest, the file is almost done. I plan to use it solo regardless.

The ratings and talents are done. The real life splits for each player are done. I have a good estimation of loyalty and desire for a winner factored in.

One thing I havent been able to find online anywhere is a list of which players have appeared on the Disabled list over the last 3 years. Does anyone know where I can find this information, short of looking through the entirety of the MLB transaction logs?

I had some free time, and took a look around a few different sites. Here's what I think may help you out the most. I know it's not exactly what you are looking for, but it's a start.

Injuries | angelsbaseball.com: Team

If you use the drop down menu on the right of the page, you can go to the other MLB teams. Then on the menu bar, you would want Roster then Injuries.

They have a transaction page, and you can go to the previous seasons there. But they don't seperate last years injuries from the other transactions.

I will keep looking, and if I find something else I will post it.

I can make this info work. I copied it all into excel and I can manipulate it from there. It will take a little extra time doing it this way, but it will work.

For anyone who has serious interest. Please email me (hoover36@yahoo.com) the following information:

Name:
AIM Name:
Age (give me a range if your not comfortable with an exact age):
Names of leagues with web address of leagues you are currently in:
How long have you been a member of each of those leagues:
Desired Team:

Also, just a heads up. I intend to do a few things with this league to make it emmulate real life as best as possible in terms of FA, drafts, ect. This wont be a cookie cutter league, so when I get a rule page up you will need to read it to make sure this league is for you.

I am currently running a league that is in its 19th seasons (run for over 2 real years). I wont run a league that is only going to be around for a short term. If I run a league, I expect it to last indefinitely. I want GMs who are committed to being around for the long term as well. In the current league I run (QBL), we have only had 10 GMs turnover in those 19 seasons. I will be as dedicated to you as a commish as your are to the league. The above info is just an attempt to get a gauge of that commitment level.

Jim. Currently only in one league - QBL, but a veteran of several. Fairly good owner - not a win at all costs guy, I like balanced teams.

Would love to have Boston.

My name is Mike and I am a really crappy GM so I'd love to take the Washington Nationals so I have an excuse when I suck. My favorite hobby is being a minor league team to contenders and making bad trades for players with last names ending in a vowel. If you pick me I'll trade you my 1st rnd pick for any players who's actually from Washington DC.
