I would like to invite new players to the Kirk Gibson Memorial League!

The Kirk Gibson Memorial League

We are approaching the home stretch of our inaugural season, and need some new owners in the league. In our first season, nobody was allowed to use the league file for exports because I invited a lot of players who did not own the game, and wanted to keep it on level playing field.

Heading into Season 2, I will begin releasing the file for anyone who does own the game and chooses to perform GM exports. I know this is an important aspect for a majority of OOTP players, so I hope it creates new interest.

If you visit our homepage, there is not going to be much information available to you -- the league is forum-centric, meaning that 99% of league activity occurs on the forums.

Kansas City Shuffle
Oklahoma City Sidewinders

I have a couple guys in the league who I found on these forums, so I'm sure there are more players out there looking for a good league!

We will begin releasing the league file after this season's WS, so right now is a great time to get into things.

This is a career league that started in 1977. I'm really interested in finding some new blood for the league, preferably those who have been playing online sim leagues for multiple real life years.

Most of this league's owners are regularly online, many of them available on AIM for trade talks.

The inaugural season will come to an end tonight, and then we will move into the playoffs. It is a great time to come in as a new owner. The core of our league is very hardcore sim league players, so keep us in mind.

We ended up running the inaugural season, declaring a winner, and then taking an extended hiatus. The last sim was about 13 months ago. During the 1st season, exports were not allowed, I only accepted email changes. I did this to make everything even because some members did not want to purchase the game. It was a very taxing season.

Now we are back, re-assembling the league. There are a good chunk of owners returning from the original crew, but now I have many open teams.

Now that OOTP8 is a free download, I will make game ownership mandatory, and have everyone do their own team exports.

I had some guys get turned off from the league because I would not allow exports the first season, so hopefully some of you will have some interest.
