Unique 19th century league has two openings

The Trans-Continental Base Ball Association was the world's first professional baseball league. Founded in 1870 by the Union and Central Pacific Railroads, the league originated with eight teams along the first transcontinental railroad. The league proved a success and expanded nationwide in 1871, drawing some of the top talent from the rival National Association.

The 1873 season is almost upon us, and we need a couple good owners to take over two of our teams:

Philadelphia Red Stockings Home Page
Washington Grays Home Page

The essentials:
-Two weeks per sim, three sims per week
-Teams are fictional
-Players are mostly fictional, with top historical amateurs added to the free agent class each season
-Financials are turned on, players eligible for free agency after eight seasons
-Faster era progression, expected to reach the liveball era in 10 years
-Independent leagues from which players can be purchased
-Historically accurate market sizes with the possibility of relocation

Please respond to this thread or contact me via PM. If these teams aren't filled they will be contracted, so act now!

I might be too late, but if one of the teams is still available, I'd love to join.

Cheers,
Michael

Hey Michael, I sent you a PM but then the boards went down. If you're still interested, let me know. I tried sending you an email but you've disabled the option so I'm hoping you'll make your way back here at some point.

The teams will always be fictional, but it is a hybrid of fictional and historical players. The fictional players are the focus, but each year we import those historical rookies who had careers of decent length. So we cover all of the stars, along with a good number of lesser known players who often get signed up by the lower-level independent league.

Examples:
Player Report for #15 Cap 'Pop' Anson
Player Report for #36 Ross Barnes

Looks like Philly is still open, and Washington has just opened up as well. The offseason is underway and the draft starts on Thursday, so join up now!
