About the League

The BJHL has been running without interruption since the release of OOTP5 in 2003. Our twenty team league is a small group that focuses on friendly rivalry rather than ruthless competition.

We encourage participation beyond the regular duties of running a team with GM voting for the All Star teams, end of season awards (including our own Least Valuable Player award) and Hall of Fame. Any member of the league is also welcome to contribute articles to posted on the front page of our site.

Our payroll cap has proven very popular with GMs for maintaining financial parity in the league and we also closely monitor league revenues to keep all the financials properly balanced.

About the Available Teams

-None at the moment-

I've been playing in this league for a long time and have had a blast. The GMs are a good bunch of guys and the commishes are on the ball. We've integrated veterans and new players alike quite seamlessly, as everyone is helpful and friendly.

Our Cheyenne vacancy has been filled, so that just leaves the Beagles.

First come, first serve!

Long Island has been claimed as well. We're out of vacancies for the moment but anyone else who likes the look of the league is welcome to fill out an application. We'll send you an e-mail to confirm that we received it and then be in touch when the next opening occurs.

Just over 12 hours for two spots? Not too shabby.

Addendum: We're just starting up our 2025 season (our 23rd) and have two openings we're looking to fill:

San Diego - An owner away from being able to compete. Just missed the playoffs in 2024.

Decatur - Rebuilding project, with an owner who just retired after 16 seasons at the helm.

If you're interested, fill out the form at the link above or send us an email at bjhlcommish@gmail.com.

I've said it before, but this is a great league for both OOTP newbies and veterans alike. We've got a really good bunch of GMs here in a long-term, competitive, stable league.

I am very interested in joining your league!

I already checked out your website and got to know a little more about your league. I also sent an email to the comish.

Just one question tho...

Which teams are available?

We're all filled up now, but we do have a waiting list. There should be at least one vacancy at the end of our current season.
